The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed Wednesday’s session lower, with the total value of transactions amounting to 55.7 million RON (11.2 million euros).
The most liquid shares on the regulated market were those of Banca Transilvania, with exchanges of 17.3 million RON, followed by Hidroelectrica shares, with a little over 5 million RON, and OMV Petrom – 2 million RON.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.57%, to 17,437.38 points.
The BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks, closed down 0.52%, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, fell 0.57%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down 0.38%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, fell 0.29%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the performance of the ten energy and utilities companies, closed down 0.84%.
The BET AeRO index, which tracks 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, rose 0.33%.
The best developments were recorded by shares of Aerostar (+3.59%), Romcarbon (+3.40%) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+3.37%).
On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by shares of Vrancart (-4.41%), Romcab (-4.11%) and Farmaceutica Remedia (-4.02%). AGERPRES
