The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday’s trading session in the red, with the value of transactions totaling 107.89 million RON (21.06 million EUR).
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies dropped by 1.79% to 16,324.71 points, while BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares of the BVB closed down by 1.75%.
At the same time, the broad blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, declined by 1.59%, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies decreased by 0.73%.
The benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, fell 1.23% while BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, closed down 1.68%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 companies representative of the AeRO market, closed down 0.27%.
The most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 30.09 million RON, followed by BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, with 10.30 million RON, and OMV Petrom, with 7.80 million RON.
Green Tech International (+13.96%), Romcarbon (+5.44%) and Comelf (+4%) recorded the best performances.
On the other hand, the most important decreases were recorded by Promateris (-10.83%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-9.74%) and Electrica (-6.80%).
