ECDL Romania partnered with Romania’s Business People Association (AOAR) to launch on Thursday the free online platform GhidAI.ro that provides a practical guideline for AI business usage.
„In an economy where the adaptation speed makes the difference between success and stagnation, Artificial Intelligence becomes a necessity for small and medium-sized companies. As of today, Romanian managers and entrepreneurs have an essential tool at their disposal to transform AI from an abstract concept into a real competitive advantage: the www.GhidAI.ro platform. AI is no longer about the future, but about the present. From streamlining operations and reducing costs, to faster and more informed decisions, Artificial Intelligence can become the growth engine for Romanian SMEs,” a release states.
The AI Guide for SMEs is a free, practical and accessible solution that concretely supports entrepreneurs and managers to understand, assess and effectively apply the AI for the development of their businesses.
„AI is no longer a luxury reserved for large corporations. Romanian SMEs can and must benefit from the opportunities this technology has to offer. GhidAI.ro is a concrete and necessary step in this direction,” said ECDL Romania general manager Irinuca Vaduva as cited in the release.
AOAR president Florin Pogonaru emphasized that at a key moment for the Romanian economy, the SMEs must understand that the digital transformation is not optional.
„The AI can become a trusted partner, offering them efficiency, competitiveness and resilience,” said Florin Pogonaru.
According to the cited source, the European Union has taken a major step towards regulating the use of artificial intelligence through the AI Act, imposing clear requirements for AI literacy. Starting with February 2, 2025, all organizations that develop or use artificial intelligence systems must provide employees with the necessary skills for working effectively and responsibly with these technologies.
GhidAI.ro offers a practical guide, with clear explanations on how AI works and how it can be integrated into the daily activity of SMEs; concrete examples and tech solutions adapted to the local market; a digital self-assessment questionnaire which helps companies understand their current level of digitalization and the real needs for the next step; personalized recommendations to take the first steps in adopting AI responsibly and efficiently.
