The Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) is organizing, for 15 German and Romanian organizations and companies, an information delegation and a business forum in the North-East Region, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, between June 23-27.
According to a press release from AHK Romania, the participating companies are active in fields such as electronics, engineering, consulting, banking and real estate and are interested in finding partners for future collaborations, as well as new opportunities and locations for business development or expansion.
Companies will learn about business prospects in the region, including the impact of political relations, infrastructure development and the role of local communities in promoting economic growth.
The program includes visits to the universities of Suceava, Cernauti and Balti (Draxlmaier laboratories), to the Suceava County Council and Botosani City Council, to the city halls of Cernauti and Balti, to the companies Electroalfa (Suceava), SEBN (Cernauti), to Moldovan companies, as well as to the Siret Industrial Park.
The organization notes that the region plays a key role in establishing concrete steps in the reconstruction of Ukraine, offering significant business opportunities for German and Romanian companies. This is why the companies are also interested in areas such as infrastructure, technology and logistics.
In this context, a business forum, attended by representatives of public administrations from Siret, Suceava, Botosani, Balti, Cernauti, from the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and the Eastern Committee of the German Economy (Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.), will take place on June 24, in the Siret Industrial Park.
The debates will focus on economic topics, with a focus on strengthening cross-border trade and increasing investment flows. The forum will provide insights into the region’s potential as a dynamic area for business expansion, in the context of efforts to reconstruct Ukraine and accelerate the reindustrialization of Romania’s border area. Last but not least, participating companies will receive information on the available and qualified workforce in the region.
The forum will be followed by meetings and direct discussions between the member companies of the delegation and authorities and companies from the North-East Region, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
