Police have carried out two searches at individuals suspected of antisemitism and public incitement, the Arges County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) announced on Friday.
„In the first case, as part of the investigation into the commission of the crime of antisemitism, which led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man from Prahova County on December 8, who was later placed under judicial control, the police from the Pitesti Police Precinct 4 carried out a search this morning at the man’s residence,” the press release reads.
Following the search, several storage devices and an airsoft pistol were found, and a computer search warrant will be executed.
In the second case, the police took notice ex officio that on December 7, a 43-year-old man from the Rucar commune allegedly posted an online message inciting criminal acts, with the message „this is the solution,” accompanied by a photo of a firearm.
„To collect evidence, this morning, the police from the Rucar Rural Police Precinct, with the support of Special Actions Service officers, carried out a search at the man’s home, where they identified and seized eight hunting knives, a metal detector, a mobile phone, and several pyrotechnic articles,” said IPJ Arges.
In this case, a criminal case was opened for public incitement, with investigations being conducted under the supervision of the Campulung Court Prosecutor’s Office. AGERPRES
