Digital Romania is not built with half measures, but with will, vision and action, and our commitment to the digital transformation of the state is firm, regardless of the political context, the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Bogdan Ivan said on Friday.
„Digital Romania is not built by halves. It is built with will, vision and action. Our commitment to the digital transformation of the state is firm, regardless of the political context. These days, we continue to work on the government cloud, the backbone of Romania’s digitalization. Because we can no longer issue government emergency ordinances, I rely on the support of my colleagues in Parliament, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Together, we will update the legislation through which we increase the capacity of institutions to make Romania’s government cloud operational”, the minister wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, the cloud is a strategic project, which must function so that the milestones assumed in the PNRR can be met.
„Using the 500 million euros, public institutions will benefit from a modern, secure and efficient infrastructure. Through the updates proposed these days, we are involving specialists with real expertise, who will manage the platform and coordinate the migration of the administration’s databases into this state-of-the-art digital ecosystem”, Ivan specified.
